Frontdoors Media Launches Several New Initiatives To Expand Reach in Community — Including New Print Magazine

In 2009, Frontdoors made the bold and forward-thinking decision to become an online-only platform covering Valley philanthropy and lifestyle.
Now, in 2018, Frontdoors Media is going back to the future — and back into print.
Frontdoors Media has launched three significant new initiatives to broaden its presence in the Valley media marketplace, highlighted by the launch of its first print edition in more than nine years in addition to its digital products. The move comes as a result of the increased interest in the revamped publication since it was purchased by current publisher Andrea Evans and her husband Tom in early 2017.
“We kept hearing from people in the community how much they would like to see Frontdoors in print again,” Andrea Evans said. “We’re very proud of the online platform we have built and the variety of content we offer the community — but we just kept hearing how much people wanted to see it come to life and be able to hold it in their hands. So we are very proud to bring back Frontdoors in print as a lifestyle magazine.”
The magazine’s print version will be officially unveiled at a launch event at Saks Fifth Avenue on September 20. Distribution will ramp up gradually over the next few months with new magazine stands coming to a variety of popular Valley locations.
Additionally, Frontdoors Magazine column Kitchen Doors (where we ate this month) will exclusively feature restaurants, food products and chefs that are part of Local First Arizona’s membership for the 2018-19 season. Frontdoors Media and Local First established the partnership as a way to pair the community-focused stories Frontdoors presents locally to its subscribers.
And, this month Frontdoors Media is launching a new section of online content called La Puerta del Valle, which will specifically highlight philanthropic and lifestyle news in the Valley’s vibrant Hispanic community. The initiative, done in partnership with Valley digital firm The Colibri Collective, will provide content related to Hispanic organizations and cultural events at www.LaPuertadelValle.com.
“The Valley’s Hispanic community has such a significant impact on our community as a whole that we felt it was important to spotlight the many activities, events and organizations that make this impact possible,” Andrea Evans said. “We hope that La Puerta del Valle becomes an invaluable resource for the Hispanic community in capturing the great work being done throughout the Valley.”
