SARRC Raises $375K for Asperger’s Support Initiative

Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center hosted its bi-annual Swirl, Sip and Savor event earlier this month at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa raising $375,000 for the organization’s ThinkAsperger’s initiative which aims to boost awareness, early diagnosis and solutions for individuals with Asperger’s syndrome and their families.
The event featured tastings from premier California wineries and a five-course dining experience conceptualized by Valley chefs from the Phoenician, Four Seasons Resort, Royal Palms Resort & Spa and Virtù.
Wineries featured at the reception included AldenAlli, Amuse Bouche, August West Wine, Caraccioli Cellars, Paul Hobbs Wine, Talley Vineyards and Valdez Family Winery.
The event also included a live auction with unique wine experiences and a one-of-a-kind, hand-etched 5L jerobaum of Amuse Bouche 2015 signed by renowned Chef Jacques Pepin.
Laura Bill, Patty Dion, Liz Gerlach, Melissa Kenly, Mac Perlich, Kristi Synek, Lyndsey Waugh and Jaime Wright chaired the event.
