Arizona Gives Day Raises Record Breaking $3.2 Million in 2018

Arizona Gives Day, the 24-hour statewide day of giving which took place this year on April 3, raised a record breaking $3.2 million for 905 nonprofits, bringing the campaigns total funds raised to $13.4 million since 2013.
The initiative, which is hosted by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum, accepted donations that were scheduled in advance and that were submitted on the campaign website on Arizona Gives Day.
“We saw an overwhelming outpouring of generosity from donors this year, with more than 900 nonprofits receiving donations that day,” said Kristen Merrifield, CEO of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits. “This is just one indicator that Arizona Gives Day is accomplishing what we set out to do — fostering an incredible spirit of philanthropy.”
Arizona Gives Day provides nonprofits with an opportunity to raise awareness of their causes, connect to new donors and win prizes.
“The success of Arizona Gives Day is a great testament to the nonprofits throughout the State and the generosity of Arizona residents,” said president of FirstBank in Phoenix Bryce Lloyd. “To be part of the growth of this online giving moment since inception has been extremely rewarding to witness, not only because we’re sponsors, but because we’re proud Arizonans, too.”
