Grammy Award Nominee Re-Imagines Contemporary Music
Steven Page, co-founder and former lead singer of the Grammy Award nominated group Barenaked Ladies, will perform with acoustic instrumental ensemble Art of Time, re-imagining a variety of contemporary songs from the past 40 years.
The performance will take place on February 9 at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts in the Virginia G. Piper Theater.
The performance, “Songbook: Steven Page and the Art of Time Ensemble,” focuses on showcasing inventive arrangements of songs by Randy Newman, Radiohead, Elvis Costellow and more.
The show will feature a range of instruments, such as strings, piano and wind instruments.
Page co-founded Barenaked Ladies in 1989 and led the group for two decades. Since departing from the band, he has focused on performing songs by his contemporaries and writing new material.
