Third Annual S.T.A.R.S!: Survivor’s Take a Real Stage Event Registration Now Open
Registration for A 2nd Act’s third annual Valley performance of “S.T.A.R.S!: Survivor’s Take a Real Stage” — an event that honors the stories of Phoenix area women who have survived cancer — is now open.
Women who have survived any form of cancer are invited to submit their stories and eight will be chosen to share theirs from the stage, discussing how they’re using their experience to give back for the greater good.
“Cancer doesn’t end when treatment does,” said A 2nd Act founder Judith Pearson. “One of the most difficult after effects is giving purpose to a cancer journey. A 2nd Act supports the theory that helping is healing and the women who will be chosen for this performance — our 3rd annual — will exemplify that in the stories of their amazing second acts.”
The event will take place Sunday, March 18 at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts.
All women must register in order to audition. Auditions will be held January 20 and 21.
