Ronald McDonald House Charities Raises Record-Breaking Funds at Annual Gala

Ronald McDonald House Charities hosted its McNight to Remember Under the Sea Gala last month at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort welcoming 667 attendees and raising a record breaking $563,350.

These funds will ensure that families with seriously ill children who stay at one of the three Valley Ronald McDonald Houses to stay close to their children during treatment will not be turned away if they cannot afford the $15 nightly fee.

The event was chaired by Katy Forseth, associate general counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, and learning and Christine Sopa, performing consultant with Nationwide Insurance.

La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Arizona and Nancy Lewis, a longtime champion for families of the Ronald McDonald House and former board member, received the Heart of the House Awards.
