Glendale Christmas Celebration to Benefit 1K+ Youth

The 4th Annual Neighborhood Christmas Party will take place Saturday, December 16 at the Glendale Community Center to bring holiday joy to more than 1,000 disadvantaged neighborhood youth.

“Coming together as a community is what the event is all about, so we appreciate the help of so many organizations, as well the sponsors who have stepped up to lend a hand. This year, Scottsdale Bible Church is generously donating hundreds of toys that Santa will distribute to the children, which is possible through donations from the Church’s Winter Wonderland extravaganza performances,” said Partners in Action CEO Jerry Bowman.  “We love putting a smile on the kids’ faces with a party that also gives us the ability to shine a light on the needs that are very real for struggling working families in the neighborhood. The work being done every day at the Center is crucial for helping kids have a safe alternative to dangerous activities that too often are commonplace in disadvantaged neighborhoods.”

Children and their families will have the opportunity to visit with Santa, receive a holiday gift and enjoy lunch. The event is put on by Scottsdale Bible Church and Partners In Action.

Throughout the year, The Glendale Youth Center serves as a space for children to enjoy a save and supervised environment that provides free after school care, a nutritious meal, homework assistance, educational programs and much more.

Donations for the event up to $8,000 will be matched by Scottsdale Bible Church.
Volunteers are still needed for the event, for more information on how to get involved, call at 602-346-3363 or visit phoenixrescuemission.org and click “You Can Help.”
