‘Dinner with Lincoln’ Raises $500K for Civics Education

The Sandra Day O’Connor Institute hosted its Annual History Dinner, with this year’s theme being Dinner with Lincoln, earlier this month at the Arizona Biltmore.

The event welcomed more than 600 community members and raised over $500,000 for the organization’s education programs.

The event featured Pulitzer Prize winner and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who authored “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.”

The event was co-chaired by Sue Glawe and Gay Wray.

The institute was founded in 2009 by retired Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O’Connor. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that continues her legacy by advancing civics education, engagement and discourse.
