60 Tons of Snow to Cover Phoenix for Arizona Science Center’s Snow Week

Arizona Science Center will blanket Heritage and Science Park with 60 tons of snow for Snow Week, taking place December 26 through January 1.

Guests of all ages are invited to play in the snow and participate in interactive science demonstrations and the onsite Subaru experience with a vehicle display and giveaways.

“Snow Week has become a community tradition. We have families that come every year to experience the magic of a winter wonderland in the desert,” said Hazel A. Hare President and CEO of Arizona Science Center Chevy Humphrey. “Guests get to sled, build snowmen and throw a snowball without ever leaving Phoenix. It is truly one of my favorite weeks at the Science Center.”

Arizona Science Center is expecting over 20,000 guests over the week to attend the sixth-annual Snow Week. The event will be open each day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
