Political Satire Troupe to Perform in Scottsdale

The Capitol Steps, a D.C.-based political satire troupe, will perform at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on November 24 and 25.
The performance, which pokes fun at all sides of current political issues, is set to popular music and also features songs from the group’s own albums — like “Orange is the New Barack.”
Performances are driven by headlines and include up-to-the minute references to the current political climate, with performances being adjusted even throughout the show to reflect breaking news.
The Capitol Steps, which launched in 1981, has recorded over 40 albums and performed for five U.S. presidents. Performers have worked in a total of 18 congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.
