Scottsdale Public Art Events Rack Up 10 Awards
“Scottsdale Public Art is delighted that IFEA has recognized the strength and quality of Canal Convergence 2017 with seven Pinnacle awards,” said Kim Curry-Evans, director of public art at Scottsdale Arts. “The distinction of multiple awards is an honor that we take very seriously.”
Canal Convergence was recognized with several awards — including a gold award for Best Single Magazine Display Ad and silver awards for Best Event Program and Best Miscellaneous On-Site Décor.
The Scottsdale Arts Festival won a gold award for Best Volunteer Program, a silver award for Best Newspaper Insert/Supplement and a bronze award for Best Event Program.
“The Scottsdale Arts Festival is honored to be recognized by the International Festivals & Events Association for our efforts with our volunteer program.,” said associate director of patron experience and Scottsdale Arts Festival manager, Jamie Prins. “The prestige of this award elevates our event in the eyes of our international and national colleagues. Scottsdale Arts and the Scottsdale Arts Festival would not be able to put on many of our various programs and events without the support of our great volunteers. We are grateful for their support and the recognition the program has now received.”
Awards were given in 71 categories, with winning entries coming from across the world from events such as the Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival in Poland to the National Cherry Festival in Michigan.
