‘You Can Dance, You Can Jive’ at Phoenix Theatre’s ‘Mamma Mia’
Phoenix Theatre is kicking off its upcoming season with Mamma Mia!, opening on September 6 and running through October 15.
The lively musical, which features hits such as “Dancing Queen” and “The Winner Takes It All” by chart-topping Swedish pop band, ABBA, follows the journey of Sophie, who attempts to find the identity of her father days before her wedding.
The performance will be directed by Associate Artistic Director, Robert Kolby Harper, and will star Debbie Rosenthal, last seen in Calendar Girls, as Donna. Kyle Sorrell, Lucas Coatney, D. Scott Withers and Logan Mitchell are all returning to the stage from Phoenix Theatre’s previous season.
Phoenix Theatre is the largest producing regional theatre in the state, with over 400 performances and 100,000 attendees each year. This will be the theatre’s 98th season.
