Nearly 300 children and youth in grades kindergarten through 12th grade prepared for the new school year by picking out backpacks and school supplies at Save the Family’s 17th annual Back-To-School Bash on Saturday.
The children and youth, many enrolled in one of Save the Family’s youth’s programs, including the Youth Enrichment and Achievement program, were guided by Save the Family volunteers and staff who acted as “personal shoppers.” The students were also assisted by Howler, the Arizona Coyotes’ mascot.
“By ensuring these children have what they need to start school, we’re also ensuring that they’re ready to focus on learning,” said Save the Family CEO Jacki Taylor.
The Back-to-School Bash is sponsored by the Turnbow Foundation.
