Fashion Event Boosts Cortney’s Place

A fashion event to help Cortney’s Place, a non-profit organization with a community day program for adults with special needs, was held on April 6 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn.

The “A Fresh New Way” Fashion Event raised funds for Cortney’s Place  programs in Scottsdale.

The event, co-chaired by Julie Xander and Jose Trifilio, featured a runway show with fashions sponsored by INTERMIX, accessories sponsored by Fendi, shoes sponsored by Stuart Weitzman, models sponsored by Global Model & Talent and jewels for the models sponsored by The Diamond Source.

Funds raised at the event benefit the quality-of-life programs Cortney’s Place provides to the special needs adults in the community.  Students are given opportunities to elevate their personal potential through hydro-therapy, music therapy, pet therapy, health and wellness programs, art and life skills and sensory awareness. These programs come at a cost not covered by state-sponsored care – more than $14,500 per student annually.
