Children’s Museum Gala Makes Art Accessible


The Children’s Museum of Phoenix hosted a Rock the Casbah, A Night in Morocco-themed gala event on March 25 at the museum. The event hosted 370 attendees and raised over $193,000 for the Museum’s Every Child Program, which provides free or reduced rate museum entry to families who are facing financial or emotional challenges.
The event featured a raffle, live auction, music performances, cocktail party, sit-down dinner under the stars and dancing. The event also honored the Kids At Heart Award recipients, Gretchen Freeman and the Junior League of Phoenix. The Kids at Heart Award honors those who have exhibited their commitment to strengthening children’s learning through play.
Notable attendees included Governor Stephen Lewis of the Gila River Indian Community, State Senator Sean Bowie, State Representative David Cook, State Representative Reginald Bolding Jr. and Phoenix City Councilwoman Kate Gallego.
