Heard Museum opens newest gallery
The Heard Museum has opened its new 7,000-square-foot space – the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Grand Gallery.
The inaugural exhibition, “Beauty Speaks for Us,” will feature more than 200 rarely seen works selected from private Phoenix collections and the Heard’s own collection of more than 40,000 works of art. It’s the museum’s first new gallery in a decade.
Visitors will see pottery, textiles, jewelry, beadwork, functional art, paintings, basketry and carvings. Click the links below to view the photo gallery from the grand opening event last weekend.
