‘Dancing With The Stars’ event delivers as entertaining fundraiser

The National Kidney Foundation of Arizona held its 2017 Dancing With The Stars event on February 10 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa — and the competition did not disappoint.
Sixteen talented Valley civic leaders squared off in front of three judges, 600 attendees and celebrity MC Mary Murphy, a former judge with the Fox show “So You Think You Can Dance.” The event raised tens of thousands of dollars for the foundation and gave attendees an evening they won’t forget.
The competition whipped the crowd into a frenzy and the competitors benefited from sometimes raucous cheers from the audience, many of whom brought signs in support of their favorite competitor. Each competitor was teamed with a professional dance instructor but otherwise left to their own devices on making their routine memorable.
