Living on Purpose
Education was always the answer for me.
I was the first to graduate college in my family and I credit Mesa Community College for allowing me to afford it. Combined with a bit of travel, I rerouted my education from business to journalism. Travel always seems to introduce me to a part of myself that I did not know I needed to meet.
The world is full of lessons, some sought, some found. For the seeking, you can never go wrong with intellectual pursuits like college. I had the opportunity to sit down with Maricopa Community Colleges Chancellor Rufus Glasper who has been at the forefront of one of the largest educational networks, to learn how his path has always been to educate.
I would also like to take this space to express my deepest condolences to the friends and family of Samantha Sanchez. We first heard about Campaign for Student Success, a Maricopa Community Colleges initiative that Samantha worked so hard to share and one that was passionate.
She will forever live on in our hearts and her passion to educate will go on to shape the lives of so many students.
