United Way takes scavenger hunt to streets of downtown Phoenix

If you’re strolling around downtown Phoenix on February 25th and you see human pyramids, and people leap frogging around town and boxing each other up, don’t be alarmed.
What you’re witnessing is some of the fun antics being done in the name of Valley of Sun United Way.
Hundreds of Valley residents will soon take to the streets of downtown Phoenix for a fun event for a good cause — the 4th Annual “Win UNITED” Valley of the Sun United Way Scavenger Hunt.
Win UNITED kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at CityScape on 1 East Washington St. in downtown Phoenix. The hunt will include locations throughout downtown, where participants will be asked to find clues and perform challenges to help them move on to the next location.
Friends, families and co-workers will form teams of six people or join an existing team to challenge each other, compete for prizes, and share their experiences on Instagram as part of an effort to give back to our Valley’s residents who need it the most.
Once they join, team members can challenge their friends to donate to show their support by donating through their online contribution pages. Proceeds raised from the Scavenger Hunt go to Valley of the Sun United Way and could help children do better in school, provide meals to those who might not otherwise eat today, or get a struggling family back on its feet.
The event’s title sponsor is UPS. Interested parties can still register for the event by visiting www.vsuw.org/win.
