Combating Arthritis Beautifully

Business owner combats arthritis and raises funds for Arthritis Foundation.
Citrine Natural Beauty Bar owner, Melissa Lenberg knows firsthand the complications that come with dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. She has been combating the disease since her early teens.
“It’s is important to bring attention and awareness to arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability,” Lenberg said. “I encourage everyone to be cautious about what they put in and on their bodies, especially makeup and beauty products. My store offers only natural and toxic-free products which I feel comfortable using on myself.”
Lenberg also knows Arthritis is not just a disease of old age. Two-thirds people in the U.S. with arthritis are under the age of 65, including 300,000 children and 6,000 in Arizona. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability/claims in the U.S.
To combat the disease, she has teamed up with the Arthritis Foundation during the month of May.. From April 29 – May 3, Citrine Natural Beauty Bar will donate $1 of every purchase to the Arthritis Foundation. Donations will be accepted during the entire month of May in honor of Arthritis Month.
Rheumatoid arthritis affects more than 1 million Americans. It is one of the most common and serious forms of arthritis. RA is a chronic disease, mainly characterized by inflammation of the lining, or synovium, of the joints. It can lead to long-term joint damage, resulting in chronic pain, loss of function and disability.
